About Us

Sahbaan is a seasoned IT professional with over 12 years of experience in the consulting and retail sectors, specializing in Retail Point of Sale solutions. He is passionate about contributing to the advancement of Islamic schools so that children can receive a high-quality education rooted in strong Islamic values.

A member of the Greater Cincinnati community since 2017, Sahbaan lives in the area with his wife, Daniya, and their daughter, Zahra.

I am a physician in the Cincinnati/Dayton area. I have been in Cincinnati and part of the Islamic community since moving here in 1999. Prior to this I was in Florida, involved with the Islamic Center of Greater Orlando. I have been actively involved with the Islamic schools here in the Cincinnati area. My three children have gone through INTAC. I know the importance of strong Islamic schools.

I have been involved with various organizations including Muslim Youth of North America, Muslim Student Association, Islamic Relief USA, Indian Muslim Relief and Charity, Islamic Medical Association of North America, ICNA Relief USA, CAIR Ohio, RePurpose Knowledge and American Muslim Health Professionals.

I started my medical journey in Aleppo, Syria, followed by an internal medicine residency at Damascus Countryside Hospital. I then worked as a hospitalist in Saudi Arabia until 2007, when I started my IM residency at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown, Ohio. In 2014 I joined a pulmonary fellowship at Marshall University, followed by a one-year critical care fellowship in St. Louis, MO. In 2017 I moved back to work as teaching faculty at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Mercy Health, and from there decided to move to Cincinnati. I served as Director of Critical Care at Mercy Clermont Hospital and am an assistant professor at NEOMED.

I will do all I can to advocate for more resources for our Islamic schools, to help our children receive a world-class academic education and maintain their Islamic values and identity.

Shazafar Ahmed was born and raised in India, migrated to the USA and earned a dual master’s in Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. As Director of Software Development at Total Quality Logistics he led the Business Integrations team. He is currently Sr. Advanced Software Engineering Manager at Kroger Technology.

When not at his day job, Shazafar loves to use technology to solve social and communal challenges. He is a certified educator, teaches K–8 students about technology, and runs coding and robotics bootcamps. He has served as Chief Technologist, on the board of trustees and on the executive board of the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati, and is a member of the board of the IT Leadership Forum at NKU.

Shazafar has lived in the Greater Cincinnati area since 2009 and resides in Mason with his wife Nasreen and three children.

I am a specialty pharmacist with a passion for advancing Islamic education. Since 2021 I have called Cincinnati, Ohio home. It is a blessing to have Islamic schools in the Southwest Ohio region, and I strive to make a meaningful impact on the community, ensuring that future generations have access to quality Islamic education and opportunities for personal growth.

I am an internal medicine physician at Mercy Health – The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati. My family and I relocated to Ohio in 2023, motivated by our desire to find a nurturing Islamic environment for our children.

I believe that fostering a strong Islamic identity through education is essential for the future of our community. I am passionate about supporting local Islamic schools and believe in investing in their growth so our children receive a high-quality education rooted in our values. I see it as my responsibility to contribute to this cause and ensure our Muslim students receive an education that prepares them for the challenges ahead.

I am a physician in pulmonary and critical care at Mercy Anderson Hospital. We moved to Cincinnati in 2023 seeking a full-time Islamic school for our children. I firmly believe that Islamic schools and education are vital for preserving the Islamic identity and faith of our children and the future of Muslim society in the US.

I see securing adequate funding for Islamic schools to grow and provide high-quality education as a high priority, and believe it is our responsibility to invest every tax dollar we can in supporting our Islamic schools and Muslim students’ education.
